A construção da casa própria foi interrompida, o marido perdeu o emprego e eles acumulam dívidas. O que é pior, Anna está grávida e seu marido não quer que leve avante a gravidez. Neste momento ela encontra Teréz, rica mulher de negócios que sofre de infertilidade. Quando esta lhe oferece dinheiro para ser barriga de aluguel, Anna vê a chance de sair da crise e preservar o bebê. A couple in Budapest with two children are in a financial crisis. MÁRTA MÉSZÁROS Nasceu em Kispest, Hungria, em 1931, filha do escultor László Mészáros. Formou-se em Moscou e, de volta a Budapeste em 1958, fez inicialmente filmes de popularização científica e diversos documentários. Desde 1968 realiza filmes de ficção, muitos deles voltados para questões de família, maternidade, adoção etc, como Adoção (1975), Diários para Meus Filhos (1984) e Diário para Meus Pais (1990). Born in Kispest, Hungary, in 1931, Mészáros is the daughter of the sculptor László Mészáros. She graduated in Moscow, and on her return to Budapest in 1958 initially made films popularizing science, as well as documentaries. Many of her fiction films deal with matters of family, maternity, adoption etc, such as in Adoption (1975), Diary for My Children (1984) and Diary for My Parents (1990).
