ROMUALD KARMAKAR Natural de Wiesbaden, 34 anos, filho de índio e francesa, é um dos representantes do atual renascimento do cinema alemão. Der Totmächer, seu primeiro longa, exibido no Rio Cine 1996, deu o Melhor Ator do Festival de Veneza 1995. Em trabalhos anteriores, ele mesclou ficção e documentário em temas controversos. Frankfurt-Millennium é uma adaptação de radionovela de Jörg Fauser. Romuald Karmakar is from Wisbaden - he’s 34 years old and has Indian and French parents. He’s one of the leaders of the rebirth of German filmmaking. Der Totmacher, his debut feature, shown at the Rio Cine in l996, got the Best Actor Prize at the Venice Film Festival in l995. In earlier works he mixed fiction and documentary in controversial themes. Frankfurt-Millennium is an adaptation of a radio soap by Jörg Fauser.
